An Exciting Time of New Beginnings!

Updated: Mar 27, 2019

We entered a new season of the year on Wednesday, March 20th. That's right, spring is officially here! I love springtime. It brings with it the excitement and freshness of new things to come. The air will soon be warmer, the trees will soon be budding and flowers will soon be pushing up through the ground. With the changing of seasons, people naturally make changes in the activities that fill their time. One of the changes that I will be making is the discipline of writing a blog. I am the new pastor at Neath Church www.neathchurch.com

I have recently moved into the area with my wife and three children and we are excited to experience spring together for our first time in the beautiful area of LeRaysville, Pennsylvania. I am also excited to announce that Neath Church has been going through a time of many new beginnings this past year, and there will be more to come.

At Neath Church we now have a blended worship service with an excellent praise team (I know I'm prejudiced), We also have a coffee bar and snacks before and after our services. Our new worship service time is 10:30 AM. More importantly, our church as a whole has a renewed commitment to make a difference for Jesus in our community. We have a desire to be a part of the community and to help meet needs we see in our community. Our Mission is "Loving and serving God and people" That's pretty simple at the same time as being pretty deep. I am excited, privileged, and blessed for this journey we are on!

So, why am I writing a blog? My goal with this blog is two-fold:

1 - Encouragement. I want to encourage people in our church and community. Life is tough, but I believe we can have hope even in the tough times because of Jesus Christ.

2 - Relationships. I want to build relationships with people through this blog.

Perhaps you do not go to church but you find yourself reading this blog. My hope is that you could learn something about our church through this blog and about what we do as a church and why we do it.

I am excited about this season in life for my family, my new community, and my new church family. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." I humbly ask you to consider joining me on this journey. I hope that as I post on this blog, the content will be relevant and beneficial to you and who knows, this could be a way that God uses to change your life...I know he has changed mine!
